About Us
About the FLORIDA SUNSHINE OPRY... The FLORIDA SUNSHINE OPRY is an icon....providing music and entertainment to the Central Florida area for many years. Originating at the Leesburg High School...June & Chuck Eck had a dream, a vision. That someday they'd have their own Opry. June & Chuck have definitely achieved their goal. For more than 10 years now....The Florida Sunshine Opry has been going strong. With big name artists and lots of local talent... the Opry has so much entertainment to offer. The good news is that June & Chuck did see their success! The bad news is...in April 2006, June lost her battle with cancer. June was a lover and a illness. Chuck is still alive and kicking and you can see him each weekend at the Opry. June's daughter and son-in-law...Charlene & Scott Stewart have taken over the Opry now and are keeping June's dream and her memory alive. And we still strive on the family & friends atmosphere!!!
Many artists have performed on this stage and entertained the audience. And also our local talents that help support us...Dale Lamb, Jim Murphy, Lee Ann Noel, John Dixon, David Peddicord, Lee Britt, Frenchie Thibodeaux, Archie Pyles, Henry T. Culp...and many more.
